Ascent Data was formerly Access Data. Access Data was founded in 1997 and developed the software, technical infrastructure, network and associated security to manage the processing of large amounts of sensitive financial transactions for many prominent financial management firms, including Charles Schwab, Janus, The Hartford Group, GE Capital Management and others. In 2001, Access Data acquired and renovated the entire building at 90 Beta Drive, including the data center, and created a highly secure, redundant and resilient location with the technical and network infrastructure to host Sales Vision, their highly successful financial services software product. In May 2009, Access Data sold Sales Vision, along with the name Access Data to Broadridge Financial Solutions. Voyager Group, Access Data's parent company, retained the SSAE 16 Compliant data center and Remote Managed Services division and renamed the business Ascent Data. Ascent Data continues to host Access Data's IT infrastructure for Broadridge Financial. Ascent Data is Pittsburgh's trusted provider for Cloud Computing solutions and Data Center services, including Colocation and Remote Managed Services, Data Encryption, Digital Data Backup, and Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions. Customer infrastructure and applications are protected in its secure, resilient, state-of-the-art SSAE 16 Compliant data center in O'Hara Township, near Pittsburgh, PA.
