About This Data Center

The Uganda Internet eXchange Point is a private not-for-profit company founded in 2001 by Charles Musisi, Badru Ntege, and Hope Mugaga with support from the Uganda Communications Commission (link is external) and others in the local technology community. Its mission is to improve Internet connectivity within Uganda and the East African region. The organization was turned over to new management in 2010.
