About This Data Center
As an independent company owned by the canton of Basel-Stadt, IWB secures the canton's supply of electricity, heat energy and drinking water. This includes the construction, operation and maintenance of in-house facilities for the production, storage, transport and distribution of energy and drinking water. Since 2010, we have also been building a nationwide fiber-optic network in the city of Basel. IWB produces more renewable electricity in its own plants than the customers in Basel consume. IWB offers the highest quality at competitive prices. The company produces renewable energy in the Basel region, in Switzerland and in selected European countries.
