About This Data Center
The Deltalis data center is based in a former Air Force command and control centre, a large, geologically unique group of chambers built deep inside a Swiss mountain. The result is an ultra-protected and highly resource-efficient data center that uses the mountain's natural cooling effect and plentiful water supply. Innovative technology uses heat from the computer room to drive the air handling system to provide further energy savings. A second stage will use underground water for cooling, and in a third phase, waste heat will be available to use for district heating. This will further improve our carbon usage efficiency (CUE) and energy reuse effectiveness (ERE), and reduce operating costs at the same time.
