In 1966, Shaw Communications Inc. was incorporated under the name Capital Cable Television. Five years later, under the leadership of JR Shaw, we made our first cable connection in Sherwood Park, Alta. This sparked a firestorm of cable entertainment opportunities we nourished and grew. Today, as Shaw Communications Inc., we proudly serve 3.4 million customers, including 1.8 million subscribers to Shaw Internet and more than one million Home Phone customers. Our extensive and reliable network is comprised of 625,000 kilometres of fibre almost enough to reach the moon and back.
