About This Data Center

Procempa was founded on September 9, 1977. Originally conceived as a data processing body of the municipal government, it has gradually become a modern Information and Communications Technology company, providing solutions compatible with the vanguard of the international ICT trade. After more than three decades of existence, the company has transcended its embryonic condition of “means” activity, being present in the daily lives of every citizen. Today, at each end of operation of the local government, there is work by Procempa, which has been permanently qualifying the public services. The work done by a highly skilled workforce has been responsible for the optimization of the services provided by the city in key areas such as Health, Urban Mobility, Security, Education and Supplies. Procempa has shortened distances, with the Infoway; has promoted savings to government coffers, with the digital telephone system; has brought comfort to those who need it most, with the Digital Station; and has extended the state arm's reach up to where it should achieve, with Telemedicine. The company is also present in social projects, in promoting digital inclusion and in the calendar of major events in the city and in the Metropolitan Region, such as the Book Fair, Expointer, Farroupilha Camp, the Mercosur Biennial and the World Social Forum.
