Ascenty Data Centers
Hortolandia (R. Papa João Paulo II)
About This Data Center
Ascenty offers its customers a combination of Data Center services and proprietary fiber optic networks. The company is owned by the U.S. private equity fund Great Hill Partners (GHP), which has had a long presence in Brazil and up until recently owned Vivax (a cable TV company) and Buscapé (an online retail site). Connectivity services serving operators via fiber optic networks began in the second half of 2011 in ABC Paulista region. In February 2012, the São Paulo-based company Ascenty was acquired to focus on Cloud Computing and Managed Hosting. From that point, the company changed its name to Ascenty. The first Data Center was built in the city of Campinas (SP) and opened in October 2012. We plan to build four more data centers. Ascenty's strategy focuses on operating Data Centers together with proprietary fiber optic networks to provide Colocation, Managed Hosting, Cloud Computing, Managed Services and high capacity connectivity services. Linked by these networks, they will guarantee end-to-end service quality. The company's focus is on attractive markets, such as the Metropolitan Area of Campinas, ABC Paulista, Vale do Paraíba and Baixada Santista, among others.
